A Contextualised Trust Model for Distributed Open Systems
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper presents a contextualised model for trust, built upon the existing trust mechanisms, as opposed to the traditional rigid models. The contextualised model is based on the view that there is no one trust mechanism suitable for all scenarios. What might be suitable for one scenario could be inappropriate for another. We then bring this model to a practical level by showing how agents, at run-time, may specify and verify these dynamic models of trust.

DisTriB: Distributed Trust Management Model Based on Gossip Learning and Bayesian Networks in Collaborative Computing Systems
The interactions among peers in Peer-to-Peer systems as a distributed collaborative system are based on asynchronous and unreliable communications. Trust is an essential and facilitating component in these interactions specially in such uncertain environments. Various attacks are possible due to large-scale nature and openness of these systems that affects the trust. Peers has not enough inform...

متن کاملDynamic Verification of Trust in Distributed Open Systems
In open and distributed systems, agents must engage in interactions of which they have no previous experience. Deontic models are widely used to describe aspects of permission, obligation, and trust anticipated by such agents, but no practical mechanism has been developed for testing deontic trust specifications against models of multi-agent interactions. This paper describes a way of doing thi...
متن کاملEvaluating Trust in a Grid Environment
The migration of processing of computational jobs from centralized systems to open distributed systems have resulted in many communication channels and transactions, to span a range of domains and organizations, not all of which can be trusted to the same extent. Inconsistencies in current trust relationships highlight the need for a flexible, general-purpose trust management system that can na...
متن کاملStudying Dynamic behavior of Distributed Parameter Processes Behavior Based on Dominant Gain Concept and it’s Use in Controlling these Processes
In this paper, distributed parameter process systems behavior is studied in frequency domain. Based on the dominant gain concept that is developed for such studies, a method is presented to control distributed parameter process systems. By using dominant gain concept, the location of open loop zeros, resulted from the time delay parameter in the process model, were changed from the right half p...
